CLEARWATER, FL — A 65-year-old St. Petersburg man has died after being struck by a vehicle on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard Thursday night. The crash occurred just east of U.S. 19 just before 9 p.m. Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded and sent the pedestrian, James Luczak, to Morton Plant Hospital where he died. Clearwater police said Luczak was not crossing in a crosswalk or at an intersection when he was struck.
