Description
Along with Sea Level Rise, increased rainfall events coupled with paved and non-porous surfaces challenge our daily lives and pose additional threats to our South Florida environment. This seminar will look at increasing rainfall trends and explore solutions already in play around the world from China’s Sponge Cities to our own Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Bioswale Remediation grant funded project at Arcola Lakes Park. We will also look at the plants that will work in our environment to soak up excess rainfall.
