Description
Press release from the Town of North Andover:
June 16, 2022
We understand there is some confusion regarding the Community Choice Power Supply Program.
We believe it is best for the Town to remain in the program as it has benefited our residents and businesses over the last 3 years. If we were to leave, we would need to go through the approval process again with the State which could take approximately 2 years. In the last year, the program has saved residents and businesses $1,238,083. Historically, since Program inception, the Town has been able to secure lower rates than National Grid Basic Service but due to the timing of the expiration of our current contract, the Town had to solicit bids in a volatile market. We will continue to work to find long-term stable aggregation rates.
As a reminder, you may opt in and out of the program at any time at https://colonialpowergroup.com/north-andover/
