June 16, 2022
A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection to multiple commercial burglaries that occurred in the Mason and West Springfield District Stations. Since May 26, detectives with our Criminal Investigations Division have been investigating nine related commercial burglary cases. In each case, the front glass doors of the businesses were broken, and a man entered, taking cash. The man left these burglaries on a bicycle.
Yesterday, an employee from one of the businesses recognized an individual matching the description from surveillance footage. Officers responded and quickly arrested Juan Mancia Ramirez, 19, of Annandale. Detectives interviewed Mancia Ramirez, and he was charged with seven counts of burglary, six counts of petit larceny, and destruction of property. He was held on no bond.
Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding these incidents to call our Mason District Criminal Investigations Division at 703-256-8035.
