Press release from the City of Iowa City: June 14, 2022 The City has announced road closures for the Iowa City Pride festival and parade on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Road closures will begin at 6 a.m. Saturday to allow festival vendors to set up. The following roads will be closed: Linn Street from Iowa Avenue to the Linn Street alley just north of the Iowa City Public Library.Washington Street from Dubuque to Linn streets. On-street parking will not be allowed on these streets starting at 6 a.m. until the festival has concluded, which will be late Saturday night. Parade The Pride parade will begin at noon at College Green Park, and will use the following route: North on Johnson Street, starting at College Green ParkWest on Iowa AvenueSouth on Dubuque StreetEast on Washington StreetSouth on Linn StreetEast on College Street, ending at College Green Park On-street parking along the parade route will not be allowed from 6 a.m. Saturday until after the parade ends, around 1 p.m. For more information about Iowa City Pride, the festival, and the parade, visit iowacitypride.org.
