NASHUA, NH — The Nashua Board of Education is now taking suggestions for the name of a brand new middle school. Naming a school is no small feat; the Board says schools can be named after their location, after a historic event or concept or after a person of significance nationally or locally. Think you have a great idea? Let the Board know by emailing it to [email protected] by the end of the business day on Wednesday, June 22. The school in question has been in the works since 2019, when the Nashua Board of Aldermen approved to bond $118 million to renovate two middle schools and build a new one. Construction is now underway. The southwest Nashua school, located off Buckmeadow Road, is expected to open in 2024.
