CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police have canceled the Amber Alert issued Friday morning after two children believed to have been taken from their home in Somersworth were found safe in Maine. Alaina Wilson, 11, and Chance Wilson, 8, were reported missing around 9:45 p.m. They were last seen around 7:30 p.m. at a home with their grandmother, who has legal custody of them, on Colonial Village Park in Somersworth. Alaina Wilson is about 5 feet, 1 inch or 2 inches tall, with brown hair and brown eyes, and weighs around 96 pounds. Chance Wilson is about 4 feet, 6 inches to 10 inches tall, and also has brown hair and eyes, and weighs around 68 pounds. "Both children appeared to have been removed from the residence through a window," Amber Lagace, a spokesperson for the department, said. Alaina Wilson also left her cellphone, she said. Kaileigh Nichols, 32, the children's mother, is 5 feet, 1 inch tall, with brown hair and eyes, and weighs around 125 pounds. She was accused of taking a relative's car in Maine — a gray 2009 Honda Civic four-door sedan with a Maine veteran's plate. "Nichols suffers from drug addiction and is known to have mental health issues," Lagace said. The children were safely located in Maine Friday morning.
