Today on Featured Firefighter Friday, the City recognizes Captain/Paramedic Bob Morgan, who is approaching 26 years of service with the Edwardsville Fire Department.
Morgan was promoted to Lieutenant in 2008 and then to Captain in February 2009. He is currently responsible for the fire marshal duties, including plan review and inspections. Morgan started his exceptional fire service career in Mitchell, Illinois, as a junior firefighter and then a volunteer firefighter.
"I grew up in Granite City and had always known about the Edwardsville Fire Department. I have now lived in Edwardsville for 26 years, and I am very proud to work and protect the community I live in," Morgan said.
Morgan has been married to his wife Paula for nearly 24 years, and has a daughter that is currently attending SIUE. Please join us in celebrating this valued team member and trusted leader in the Edwardsville community.
