PLUMSTEAD TOWNSHIP, PA — A 37 year old Plumstead Township man faces multiple charges after he allegedly solicited an adult posing as a 13 year old child for sex on a social networking site.
Plumstead Township Police have charged 37 year old Jeremy Hynds with criminal attempt on the following charges: corruption of minors, unlawful contact, child pornography and indecent assault.
On May 20, police said an individual from an organization called Predator Poachers came to the station to report that he was on a social networking site when he was sexually solicited by Hynds after telling him that he was 13 years old and in the seventh grade.
The man also told police that Hynds repeatedly requested to meet up with him and perform sexual acts.
When Hynds agreed to meet, police said Hynds discovered that he was communicating with an adult man and not a 13 year old, police said.
Hynds was arraigned by Judge Gambardella and bail was set at $200,000, unsecured. His preliminary hearing is set for June 30 at 10 a.m.
