Description
TUCSON, AZ —The Reid Park Zoo is hosting the "Brew at the Zoo" tasting event this weekend, where visitors can view the animals while also enjoying local beers and music.
The 21 and over event takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets cost $50 for general admission, $45 for zoo members and $25 for designated drivers, and they are available online. Ticket prices go up by $10 at the gate.
Proceeds from the event support the Zoo's animal care, conservation and education programs, according to the zoo.
The event will feature a wide selection of craft beer, hard ciders, lagers and ales from a number of Arizona-based brewing companies. Attendees also will take home an eco-friendly sampling cup.
There will be live music from Heart & Soul, playing current and classic rock, and the Sonoran Dogs, playing folk, bluegrass and acoustic music.
"Brew at the Zoo" also will have pub-style food available for purchase and feature games and a selfie station.
The event also was offering an "Ales For Animals" premium experience that, for $130, gave attendees a special opportunity to view the zoo's giraffe herd. However, that experience has sold out, the zoo said.
