EL MIRAGE, AZ — An infant was pulled from a bathtub in El Mirage and her babysitter faces child endangerment charges, according to reports.
A mother dropped off her three children at the home of babysitter Cynthia Gaddy, near 127th Avenue and Thunderbird, KSAZ-TV reported.
Around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, Gaddy, 49, was bathing a 1-year-old boy when she left the bathroom. Police said Gaddy's "attention was diverted," and she went to another part of the home, KNXV-TV reported.
When she was returned, she found the boy underwater and not breathing.
The infant was taken to a hospital in serious condition and started breathing again. Doctors also found a pulse.
Gaddy was arrested.
