Excellent Cat Needs a Home

Description

Wally needs a new home and family. We are retired and will be starting to travel soon, and sadly, we can't bring him along. We can't reliably keep him from escaping our RV and will be moving every week or so. We dread getting in a situation where he gets out and we're unable to find him before we have to move on. Wally is maybe 8 or 9 years old. He was an adult stray when he came to us about 6 years ago, so we're not sure about his age. He is neutered and chipped. He is very friendly with people of any age - he likes to play greeter when people visit. He will adjust to other cats if introduced properly. He hasn't spent time around dogs, so I don't know how he would do with them. He's been an indoor/outdoor cat as we live in the boonies, but we brought him indoors only over the winter, and he did just fine - didn't charge for the door or act up. He is an excellent cat, and really has no bad habits. At all. He uses the litter box reliably and doesn't complain if it is not kept pristine. If provided appropriate scratching surfaces, he does not scratch furniture. He doesn't have any "don't touch me there" spots. He's got his claws and doesn't object to having them clipped if you start from a calm, cuddly place. He doesn't beg for food or try to steal it off your plate but won't turn down a bite if you offer. He enjoys lap time and a good neck scritch, maybe even a belly rub. We're very sad to be losing him, but think he would be happier in a more stable home situation.
