Description

I lost my new baby hatchling sulcata tortoise in my friends backyard when I looked away for literally 5 seconds. They blend in real easy to the ground and we tore the yard apart looking for her but she's very very fast for a tortoise. I think she might have went to a neighbor's. I don't know who's going to see this but please....... I lost her on Lee Drive in citrus heights. I know that I'm a horrible 🐢 owner and I know I should not have put her on the ground and looked away but I did and now she's gone and she's been missing for weeks now. I don't expect to find her because it's been so long but if anyone knows anything or knows of someone who found a tortoise by the creek behind Patton or Lee Drive or down by Watson or any of those streets even, though she has not a turtle, she is a tortoise, so she wouldn't be swimming in the creek necessarily, but, she's a land tortoise, she does not need an aquarium with water in it she needs water only in a small very shallow bowl and I'm hoping that no one found her and put her in an aquarium tank. If you did find her and want to keep her it will make me sad but please know that they really only need grass and supplements that you get from the pet store. Please don't feed her a lot of fruit or any cabbage like vegetables like cabbage or broccoli or anything. Maybe she can eat a little bit of sweet potato. She needs calcium supplements. She needs to soak in a very shallow dish that she can't drown in at least every other day. She's just a baby but Sulcatas are born without their mom taking care of them so I know she'll be fine but I miss her so much. She has a beautiful little soul.I don't know if she's male or female but I felt but she was female and we named her Stella. she's about to size of a child's Palm but maybe bigger now. She loves to eat bugs but she really probably shouldn't eat a lot of bugs. I know most people would say Sulcatas should never have bugs, but they do eat bugs in the wild and they even eat small mammals in the wild sometimes so it's not going to kill her. But I need her back if you have found her anywhere near lee drive or any of the creek or Street areas near lee Drive in citrus heights. Please respond back to this email if you have found her I truly truly love her so much. She was more precious to me than any of the dogs I've ever had, even. I am heartbroken. Thank you for looking.
