Hiring an Event Coordinator for a Celebration in Life on July 9

I am seeking an in-person event manager to oversee to provide day-of event coordination services for a memorial / celebration of life I am hosting for my father on July 9, 2022 in Minneapolis, MN. This event has three components: (1) an afternoon memorial service, (2) a New Orleans-style funeral procession to spread ashes, and (3) a reception to follow. All components will take place within a three-block area in Minneapolis. I am expecting 200-300 guests. I have already put a lot of time and energy into the details of the event (i.e., securing food, beverages, music, the program, the parade route, speakers, etc.). I am specifically looking for a highly-organized, direct invidivual to manage the event day-of. Responsibilities would include: - Ensuring that hired professionals and volunteers, i.e. bar staff, caterers, musicians, etc,, are where they need to be at the time they need to be. - Help direct guests to where they need to be (i.e., when we leave for the parade, guests will need to exit from the back door of the building)) - Be able to think on your feet and problem solve. - In general, I am looking for someone to take some of the weight of coordination/production off of my shoulders. Ideally, I would like to be able to mourn my father and participate in the services, but my expectations are reasonable. This is an opportunity for professionals with experience in event planning, coordination, and management. It could also be a great opportunity for teachers on summer break who are looking for supplementary work. In addition to day-of services, I would like the person to be available for at least one Zoom call with me closer to the event to discuss final plans and expectations. I would also like the person hired to come look at the space so they can really understand what I am envisioning. The person would need to be available in-person from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM on July 9th.
