Community Building Services is a locally owned and family-operated Construction Contractor, in Mason, MI, performs projects throughout the Mid-Michigan Area. We are searching for new employees to build their skills with our rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate for this position has a desire to learn trades, is punctual, and is dependable. Able to take direction from experienced carpenters and supervisors. 2. Construct appropriate containment for construction dust, dirt, and airborne contaminants in work area. 3. Desire to learn trades. (Framing, Drywall, Trim Capentry, Painting, Flooring Etc.) 4. Develop full material knowledge as it relates to the construction performed by CBS. 5. Ability to use a mobile device for a daily log. 6. Ability to answer simple questions and know when to defer questions to more qualified personnel. 7. Maintain equipment used daily. 8. Perform emergency services as needed – i.e. board ups or securing building against further damage. 11. Perform building maintenance services. Requirements: 1. Basic math principles. 2. Demonstrate ability to use basic carpentry tools and temporary power sources. 3. Valid Driver's License and personal transportation. 4. Possess a sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic. Physical Demands: 1. Frequent lifting of 50lbs. 2. Access and mobility in tight spaces. 3. Sustained periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling. Compensation: 1. Position is preferably full-time, 40 hours per week, with a flexible schedule depending on seasonal workload. 2. Pay rate $15-18/hr (determined on experience)
