Description
Ushers will work directly with the Our People Entertainment team to ensure a smooth and organized seating experience for attendees at Welcome America events. Ushers will greet attendees when they arrive at their designated seating area, then show the attendees their seat. To gain an understanding of the event flow, Ushers will arrive a half hour before the event, as reflected in their schedule, and learn where restrooms and exits are located. The chairs at each event will be placed in a specific order/location, so Ushers will also be responsible for keeping aisles clear and seats in their correct positions. They act as an on-site representation of the event, and are able to answer questions from the public or Producer with a professional, inviting attitude. All hires must meet the production standards set by OPE and on-site Producers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-Pre-Production meeting 30 minutes prior to event
-Report to Site Coordinator for direction of tasks
-Welcome attendees as they arrive to the seating area, and provide friendly customer service
-Direct Attendees to designated seating areas, and inform them of restroom/exit locations
-Maintain clear seating aisles and predetermined chair arrangements
-Interact with Producers/event attendees to resolve their needs and potential issues
QUALIFICATIONS
-18 years of age or older
-Authorized to work in the U.S.
-Upbeat, energetic personality
-Friendly and welcoming attitude
-Previous Usher or event experience
-Demonstrated excellence in verbal communication with
colleagues and supervisors

- June 22nd from 9AM-1PM, June 26th from 5:30PM-8PM, July 3rd from 5:30PM-8PM, July 4th from 3PM-7PM or 4PM-8PM
