Short South Realty Group is looking to hire a full-time experienced maintenance technician that is ready to start today! Full-time hours consist of Monday-Friday, the start time of 8:00 am until 5:00 pm, with options to work weekends (overtime) or on call. The main locations are in the city of Grand Rapids, but you may service the surrounding locations of Grand Rapids, Rockford, Kalamazoo, Holland, and Lansing areas as well. Pay Wage is $18+/hour with a $500 Sign-On Bonus after you have been hired for 90 days. After the first 30 days, we will raise your hourly to $20/hr depending on your performance. After 90 days, you will receive a $500 Work Bonus and Medical Plan. The job date can start immediately.
You would be working indoors and outdoors throughout the year along the side of other technicians. Short South is looking for someone who has a valid driver's license, their own tools, a reliable truck/work van (possible work truck provided after 90 days), and has prior experience with Roofing, light Electrical (Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire), and Plumbing (repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures), Painting, routine repairs (such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair), and anything in-between those jobs like HVAC work and preventive work on rental homes.
