Auto Body Technician All Positions Painter - Combo

We are an independent collision center that has been in business in the same location for over 40 years. We are located in a good neighborhood in Manhattan with easy access to subways and buses. We are hiring for all positions including body men (heavy/light), assembly, and painter. Must have tools and experience working in a high-volume insurance shop. Assembly person. Must be able to assemble and disassemble cars before and after repair work is completed. Remove bumpers, headlamps, doors, trim, etc. Preparation Person. Ability to work with the painter to prepare cars for paint. Mask and bag cars for paint. Sand and prime cars. Body man. Shop uses a Car-O-Liner frame machine with a computer measuring system (vision x3). Must have extensive experience in welding, frame repairs, and computer frame measuring, and be able to also perform light body repairs, including working with plastic body filler. Must be quick and efficient at light body repairs, including working with plastic body filler. Painter. Production painters are needed. Ability to paint 4-5 cars per day. The painter will lead a team of 2 preppers. Shop uses AkzoNobel paint. Ability to tint and use a computerized paint mixing system with a camera and/or chips.
