An online plant shop based in Long Island City is looking for a part-time hard-working, positive, and energetic interior plant technician. Someone who is punctual, responsible, reliable, flexible, and resourceful; with excellent communication skills, who can work independently as well as in a team; and who is willing to learn and grow. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Indoor plant potting, pruning, cleaning, trimming, watering; Preparing plants for delivery, wrapping plants; Assisting plant maintenance crew around NYC area; Loading & unloading plants and planters; Cleaning plant studio and working areas; SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Fluency in the English language; Ability to lift up to 50 lb. and be active throughout the day; Interest and/or willingness to learn about plants and plant care; Excellent communication skills; Ability to clearly communicate via phone and email; Positive & enthusiastic attitude towards work & people; Excellent time management and organizational skills; Ability to work fast without compromising the quality; Ability to multi-task, stay organized, and prioritize tasks; High attention to detail; Exceptional work ethic; Authorized to work in the US; Must be vaccinated; EXPERIENCE Experience in one of these or similar fields is a benefit: Experience with indoor plants; Landscaping; Florist; JOB LOCATION Long Island City, Queens. Close to 7, E, M, and G trains as well as Long Island City ferry. JOB HOURS Part-time. Monday, Wednesday, Friday 10 am - 4 pm JOB COMPENSATION Based on experience.
