Boose, a rare find in the shelter, Karelian bear dog. She may have once been a loyal dog, but sadly at 5yrs old she was tied to a fence in front of house when she was picked up! Now set to be put down in shelter end of day 6/20 She is looking for a confident active human to guide her and give this active girl the exercise she needs. 37lbs.. Just a tiny ball of energy and smarts! Boose love toys soccer balls, frisbees you name it and a good game of fetch! This girl always has a lot to say! She has a rough, vocal play style, She has chased and retrieved a frisbee and even has learned to drop it! When the handler kicks a ball, she chases it excitedly, barking and growling/vocalizing at ball and pushing it around yard with her paws and muzzle. During her stay at the shelter most of the time Boose has been more interested in toys and treats than pets. She likes to be on the GO when she gets small breaks from her kennel! She has at times at times solicited attention from familiar handlers, tried to jump on laps,leaned into handler's legs and allowed petting and scratching all over body with a wagging tail wagging. Boose is a smart, active, fun girl who would thrive with an active person familiar with her breed that will appreciate her amazing qualities and quirks.
