TRUMBULL, CT — A 61-year-old Easton man was killed in a wrong-way crash late Wednesday morning on Route 25 in Trumbull, according to Connecticut State Police.
According to an accident summary provided by state police, the fatal crash occurred around 11:30 a.m.
State police said Shahid Malik, 61, of Easton, was driving a Honda Accord southbound in the left lane of Route 25 North and collided head on with a Ford TCN traveling in the left lane, south of the Route 111 intersection.
Malik was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police.
The driver of the Ford was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries, state police said. Both vehicles were heavily damaged.

The State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Squad was also called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
