Press release from the City of Norwich: June 14, 2022 Effective Monday, June 27th, the City of Norwich will be closing Sherman Street at the Sherman Street Bridges for the replacement of the two bridges. The closure of the roadway is necessary for the reconstruction of the bridges. Detours around the construction will be posted. Extensive utility work will also be starting in the near future on Asylum Street, adjacent to the bridges. Questions can be directed to the City Engineer, at 860-823-3798.
