I’ve lived all over the country and have never seen anything like what goes on in Seaside and Salinas: Allowing firework stands to sell lots of fireworks, while signs go up in the area warning that fireworks are illegal. Then, on and around July 4, the night sky lights up with illegal fireworks for hours, and many dogs run for their lives into homelessness. The illegal cock fight roosters would make a run for it too if they weren’t being held in many tiny little cages.
