The Riverfront Walking Tour series is generously sponsored by the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy. Between Robert C. Valade Park and the Archer Greenway lies a stretch of uniquely Detroit restaurants and bars serving as yet another reason to visit Detroit’s award-winning Riverwalk. On this walking tour, you’ll get to taste some of the delicious offerings found between two of the newest parks and public spaces in the city. Some of the destinations you’ll visit have been around 100 years and others are just opening their doors, but each one has its own inspirational story. Join us in learning what’s just beyond the river in the historic Rivertown neighborhood. Weather Policy: Tours will occur indefinitely, rain or shine, unless a severe weather warning is issued by the national weather service on the date of the tour for the time of the tour. Weather related cancellation or ticket transfer requests will not be approved unless submitted at least 48 hours in advance of the event start time. If a severe weather warning or event causes the tour to be cancelled, City Institute will offer to transfer participant tickets to another date or provide a refund.
