Juneteenth Celebration/Fireworks Display On Saturday, the City will host a 3 on 3 Juneteenth basketball tournament named "Peace in the Streets – Think Twice and Save a Life." The first 30 teams (up to four players) are free of charge. Players and teams can sign up at 601-960-0471. The tournament is sponsored by M-Bar.

There will be fireworks for Fourth of July On Wednesday, the City's Parks and Recreation Department announced it had obtained the necessary funding to put on the "Safe Summer Firework Extravaganza" to celebrate Independence Day. The effort was funded by 11 sponsors. Dharma Professional Services will again partner with the City to put on the event.
