WOODBURY, MN — Woodbury native Jackson Carver has the college-football world at his feet, even though he's only played the sport for about a year. Carver announced Tuesday that he will play football at the University of Miami, turning down offers to play for Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Minnesota and Wisconsin and many other schools. He had scholarship offers from more dozens of Division I schools. Carver, who graduated in June, is set to attend Loomis Chaffee School in Connecticut before going to the University of Miami. Woodbury Senior Earns Lacrosse Player Of The Year Title Allen Trieu, a national recruiting analyst for 247 Sports, wrote that Carver has the "ideal frame and body type," while his "hockey and lacrosse backgrounds gave him a leg up on learning the game."
