Description

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that travel restrictions will be in place on U.S. 1 and Old Lincoln Highway from June 25 to June 27. U.S. 1 and Old Lincoln Highway in Middletown Township will see single-lane closures and intermittent traffic stoppages next weekend. The travel restrictions are in relation to a bridge beam erection. A list of the projects and times can be found below: A continuous, single-lane pattern will be in place on northbound U.S. 1 between the Penndel/Business U.S. 1 and Route 413 exits from 1:00 a.m. on June 25 to 5:00 a.m. on June 27.Intermittent traffic stoppages will take place on southbound Old Lincoln Highway between Bristol Road and Hulmeville Road from 1:00 a.m. on June 25 to 5:00 a.m. on June 27. The construction is a part of a larger project to widen almost three miles of U.S. 1. The construction of new structures over the Neshaminy Creek and over rail lines near the Penndel exit will be built as a part of the project. Those traveling these roads at these times should make extra time to compensate for closures or find a different route. All scheduled construction projects will be weather dependent. Stay up to date on closures and other PennDOT projects by subscribing to the 511PA app. Any and all updates to traffic and related projects will be announced through the app.
