Brush Breaks Out In Angeles National Forest

LOS ANGELES, CA — A brush fire broke out in the Angeles National Forest near the Bouquet Reservoir, quickly scorching about 11 acres Wednesday. The blaze dubbed the Sierra Fire broke out at about 3:15 p.m near Bouquet Canyon and Spunky Canyon around 3:15 p.m, according to U.S. Forest Service Within an hour, it had grown to between 10 and 15 acres, officials estimated. By 5:15 p.m., the fire was 25 percent contained. Crews from the national forest service and the Los Angeles Fire Department are on the scene battling the blaze.
