LASALLE COUNTY, IL — The body of a Chicago man who disappeared over the weekend in Starved Rock State Park has been found, according to reports. The remains of 21-year-old Giovannie E. Sanchez were discovered Tuesday on the south shore of the Illinois River, about 200 yards west of the Route 178 bridge in the Utica area, the LaSalle County Coroner's Office reported. Sanchez had been the subject of a multi-agency search since Sunday, according to the coroner's office. He went underwater in the river at Starved Rock, The Times of Ottawa reported. An autopsy was conducted Wednesday with results pending, according to the coroner's office, which reported the death is being investigated by the coroner's office and the state conservation police.
