WEST VILLAGE, NY — The record-high $101 billion budget passed by the City Council on Monday includes millions of dollars coming to the West Village. The local funding includes improvements to schools, theaters, and libraries. The majority of the money secured for the West Village was sponsored by Council Member Erik Bottcher. Among the local entities receiving the most money from the budgets include the Westbeth Artist Housing and tree guards for the neighborhood's greenery.
