Description

Press release from the Estuarium at Dauphin Island Sea Lab: June 15, 2022 In April 2022, we traveled from Dauphin Island to Massachusetts to participate in a research cruise with scientists from the University of Texas at Austin and the United States Geological Survey (USGS) on the New England shelf. Aboard the University of Rhode Island's R/V Endeavor, we sailed to the edge of the continental shelf to study how acoustic signals (e.g., those used to map the seafloor) are affected by the physical and biological properties of seafloor sediment. This press release was produced by the Estuarium at Dauphin Island Sea Lab. The views expressed here are the author's own.
