Akron Sail and Power Squadron will be teaching kayak seminars for $35 this summer. The seminar teaches how to safely navigate the water with a canoe or kayak. It covers the different types of paddle crafts & the safety gear necessary to have onboard. It shows you how to use your paddle craft and the different paddling techniques and safety practices. And… teach you how to have fun safely. We have several models of kayaks, so if you are looking to buy a board or kayak, you can compare features before you buy You will get wet, so bring a towel, a change of dry clothes, sunscreen, a hat or visor, and a water bottle. Closed toe shoes (water shoes or old tennis shoes) are recommended. The Paddle Smart "on-the-water" seminar starts with an hour in-class instruction, followed by two hours on the water.
