Anser Charter School, located in Garden City is hiring for PT and/or FT Bus Driver positions. Anser will run two bus routes for daily AM and PM transport of students, with additional day time driving for field trips. The position will start in August 2022 for training and end May 25th, 2023. Pay and Benefits: • $20.00-$21.50 per hour • $1,000 sign on bonus, with two $500 retention bonuses at 6 and 9 months of employment • Medical, Dental and Vision insurance for drivers who work 30 hours or more per week • Participation in PERSI, the Idaho state wide pension program for drivers who work 20 hours or more per week • Paid life and disability insurance Anser is invested in providing a safe, welcoming work environment with a commitment to our employees. The Bus Driver is responsible to ensure the safe transportation of students, staff and others to and from school and for school activities, inspects assigned bus on a daily basis prior to transporting students and ensures the bus is in clean and safe working order. The Bus Driver cleans, and refuels the bus as needed. The Bus Driver completes all record keeping, training and emergency procedure drills as required and in a timely manner. The bus driver maintains order and discipline on the bus, reports any incidents involving student discipline and works collaboratively with the Site Manager to ensure an orderly bus environment. Qualifications: • A high school diploma or GED • Current commercial drivers license–Class B with P and S endorsement w/airbrakes or the ability to obtain the listed endorsements prior to August 19th, 2023. • Clean driving record • Ability to pass a background check and drug test and continued fandom drug testing • Current DOT physical card of the ability to pass a DOT physical. • Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 40-50 lbs., to bend to clean the bus and prepare the bus for service each day.
