Description
Confer with customers and engineers to assess landscape and irrigation equipment needs and to determine system requirements. Develop, present, and respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions. Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining irrigation products to customers and prospective customers. Sell products requiring extensive technical expertise and support for installation and use, such as numerical-control machinery or computer systems. Plan and modify landscape and irrigation product configurations to meet customer needs. Collaborate with sales teams to understand customer requirements, to promote the sale of products, and provide sales support. Arrange for trial installations of equipment. Provide technical and non-technical support and services to clients or other staff members regarding the use, operation and maintenance of equipment. Write technical documentation for products. Diagnose problems with installed equipment. Recommend improved machinery to customers, documenting how such changes will lower costs or increase production. Document account activities, generate reports, and keep records of business transactions with customers and suppliers. Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture or Agriculture with two years of experience on the job OR Master of Science in Irrigation with no experience. 40 hrs/wk. Fax resume (831) 761-0593.
