Description
We have a four-month old catahoula or catahoula mix dog from a rescue.
She is an incredible dog and deserves the best life and guidance!
We are struggling to manage her with a toddler and considering a re-home... if we can find an outstanding home and environment.
We are not looking for any $ and will gladly hand over all the supplies we have to the right family.
Other details that are important to know:
-She has been in several puppy groups for socialization and recently started an 8 week puppy program.
-Current on vaccines and spayed at the rescue.
-We have had mixed success with crate or boundary training.
-She has been around a cat and they manage fine.
-She is nipping/mouthing quite a bit and we are working on impulse control when excited or tired. We do not recommend she is around young children at this time.
Please share:
-A bit about your household (do you have any other pets?)
-What type of exercise/routine you'd offer (and do you have a fenced yard?)
-Any experience with puppy training and the approach you'd take for training
-What questions do you have for us?
To be upfront: We are entering a decision on re-homing thoughtfully, and with reservations. Before making a decision, we'd be looking for open and transparent communication from a prospective owner, and we would provide the same to you. In the meantime, we'll continue with training, socialization, and positive experiences!
