Per the 12th Amendment and The Electoral College Act of 1887, the Vice-President acts purely in a ceremonial role in ANNOUNCING the New President. The president is selected by the Electoral College. Those electors are determined and appointed by the people of the several states. Ergo, Trump Lost, and on January 6th he committed an act of Treason that was a grave assault on our form of government. Trump must be prosecuted.
