Hey, I'm a 28 year old girl on the chubby side We are a community service 17 member big band, established in 2017 and located in the central Dallas area. We play a variety of musical styles to include Jazz, Swing, Latin Jazz, Latin, and Ballroom Dance. All members are unpaid volunteers. Our goals are: 1) to provide music to charitable and community groups or organizations who ordinarily would not have access to the entertainment we provide, and 2) to maintain and improve our musicianship. We rehearse Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 in the Oak Lawn area of Dallas.We are a community service big band, established in 2017 and located in the central Dallas area. We're looking for a Drummer who's interested in playing with a large Jazz, Swing, Latin, Latin Jazz community "Big Band" as either a full time member or sub. Intermediate or higher skill level required. You must be an adult, 21 or older. Weekly rehearsals in central Dallas, Mondays, 7:30 to 9:30 PM. If interested, please respond for details. I'm looking to make more friends through this experience I'd REALLY prefer my band mates to be within my age group (25-35). I'm self taught and wouldn't say that I lean towards any particular genre more than another, but we both really like The Strokes lately and I'm REALLY trying to avoid country and metal type music.I'm a drummer and I'm currently in a monthly rehearsal room at Texas Jam in Plano. I am looking for a band/musicians to share the rehearsal space, i.e. potentially a project I can be a part of. My drums are set up in the monthly rehearsal space. We're looking for a talented Keyboardist/Lead Vocalist. We're particularly looking for a keyboardist that is well versed with the brass, strings, pads and organ sections of their keys.We have vocals now, but we would like to have other options as well. Our focus will be on Classic Rock, Country, Beach and Oldies... as well as what you may bring to the table... as these genres are what we've found strong success with in the recent past. Historically, we've carried a 70-75 date show load annually. So I'm looking to join a country band. I've been playing guitar awhile and do mostly rhythm but can do some leads.
