Vineyard Assistant Gravity Vineyards & Winery is a growing operation in Baroda, Michigan. We grow about 30 acres of grapes and produce still and sparkling wines and ciders. We are looking for a motivated individual that would like to work in the wine industry with the opportunity to build their skills and grow with the company. This position is approximately 40hours per week: Typically Monday-Friday 8:00-4:30ish. Saturday’s may occasionally be required and hours may vary seasonally. You will perform tasks such as.... Trellis maintenance and repair Establishing New Vineyards Replanting Existing Vineyards Pruning grape vines Mowing Vineyards Spraying Vineyards Equipment repair and maintenance Bottling/Canning General Property maintenance Other supporting jobs as needed Requirements to be Considered Must have reliable transportation and ability to be to work on time every day Attention to detail Ability to work in varying weather conditions Ability and willingness to follow instructions Ability to work as part of a team and independently Experience operating tractors and implements Experience in vineyards is a plus Physically fit Able to lift at least 50 lbs Able to stand for long periods of time Able to bend, squat, crawl Various other physically demanding jobs And of course…ethical, honest, and hard working.
