Events planned during the show
A free geology presentation will be given in the stage area of the Plaza Saturday at 1 p.m. Seating for a limited number will be provided. This is an effort to draw more people to the show and not to detract from vendor sales.
Oddities Alley will be happening the same weekend, hosted, organized and managed by a group of local businesses (Black Monarch and Victor Hotel included). The event will feature 10 vendors of non-gem show related merchandise, two food vendors, all on the north side of Victor Avenue between 3rd & 4th Streets. The south side of the street (incoming from Cripple Creek) will be kept open.
The Victor Lowell Thomas Museum will have gold panning in the outdoor trough.
The Elks Lodge will be grilling burgers on their porch all weekend for lunch.
Local restaurants will be open – Gold Camp Bakery, The Fortune Club, 1899 Mining Claim, Sidedoor Bar & Grill.
Park anywhere around Victor and catch the free shuttle to the show!
Parking is easy peasy -
Park on Victor's east side near the Helipad and ride to the show. Shuttle will run all day Saturday and Sunday.
Thanks City of Cripple Creek for this service!
