Yup, Drag Queen Story Hour is just what it sounds like—drag queens reading stories to children.
Led by the greatest star of the Greater Boston area, Patty Bourrée, join Seaport for Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) from June 12th through August 21st, every other Sunday at 2:00pm. DQSH will take place in the amphitheater inside The Paseo at 111 Harbor Way.
DQSH captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish and where dress up is real.
DQSH books are provided by our neighborhood bookstore, Porter Square Books: Boston Edition. Visit them at 50 Liberty Drive.
