Covenant Contracting Group, Inc. is seeking a Foreman to join our growing team. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations at jobsites to ensure completion of projects in an efficient and timely manner. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Conduct site inspections and meetings with potential and existing clients to gather information on the scope of work and take measurements - Collaborate with the Operations Team to write proposals - Perform crew scheduling and allocating general and daily responsibilities - Ensure manpower and resources are adequate - Supervise the use of machinery and equipment - Collaborate with the Operations department in monitoring expenditure and ensure it remains within budget - Perform routine visits across different jobsites to set-up crew and ensure that the job is executed based on the contract or signed proposal, in a professional and timely manner - Conduct walkthroughs upon job completion and ensure that work order forms/sign-off forms, or any other paperwork are signed by the client - Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met for every job - Resolve problems when they arise. Escalate to Operations Department and to Department Head, if needed be - Willing and able to teach a crew member on how the task should be done according to the scope of work - Will act as a point of reference of both workers and supervisors and provide reports and be in constant communication with the Operations Department regarding the status of each job - Provide multimedia content such as images and videos to the Operations Department as part of the job monitoring process SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: - More than 7 years of experience in construction - Possess knowledge and experience in carpentry, finishings, electrical, plumbing, tile installation, kitchen and bathroom renovation, cabinet installation, among others - In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, tools and equipment, and OSH guidelines - Possess OSHA training and other Construction-related certifications - Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints - Holds a High School Diploma or GED - Has excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish - Possess strong attention to detail - Prior experience in a supervisory role - Good organization, interpersonal and leadership skills - Aptitude in math - Good physical condition and stamina - Team-player and a self-starter Our jobsites are mainly in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, The Bronx, Yonkers and Connecticut.
