The course will take place in the Training Room at Leslie Coffee Co. where barista trainer Sarah Leslie will cover how to prepare espresso including adjusting the grind or "dialing in". Each student will get hands-on practice pulling shots. No previous coffee experience required. This course will not cover milk steaming.
Objectives:
1. Perform the 13 steps of espresso extraction.
2. Distinguish by taste the impact of good versus improper extraction.
3. Adjust grind size, dose, and yield to achieve a balanced extraction.
4. Perform daily cleaning to keep espresso machine operating correctly.
