Join us at Trapdoor Studio to discover the art of natural bundle dyeing. In this 3 hour workshop led by natural dyer Liz Mortensen, you'll learn the basics of natural dye and how to bundle dye with plants. Trapdoor Website and Direct Tickets Workshop will cover: Basics of natural dyeing including fabric prep, mordants, and modifiers Overview of natural dye plants and how to extract plant dye How to naturally bundle dye fabric with plants Each student will create and leave with a one-of-a kind bundle dyed 100% silk scarf as well as a PDF with information covered at workshop Date: June 18th 2022. Time: 12:00pm - 3:00pm Location: (address & access information will be emailed to students) Laila Textiles & Trapdoor Studio will be implementing strict COVID-19 protocols during the workshop to ensure staff and vendor safety.
