Description

The Ecstasy of Air Take a break from your daily routine with a Pranayama Yoga class that will energize and cleanse your mind, body and spirit. Through a recipe of mantras, asanas, pranayama and meditation, The Ecstasy of Air is designed to elevate your inner world for enhanced vitality and well-being. *This class is a safe space made for all levels and ages, so meet yourself where you’re at, on your mat, and get ready for a fun, guided experience that will connect you to the bliss of breath. *Class limited to 8 guests. About the Class In this class we will consciously breathe to heal your mind and body from what I call trauma-drama (drama: events that cause lack of harmony leading to your experience of stress). Many of us have experienced trauma or stress in our lives, and even if we’re not currently experiencing it, these past experiences are still stored in our nervous system. During this session we will move stagnant energy in the physical, mental and emotional body, activate and harmonize your autonomic nervous system and reconnect you to high vibrational frequencies… Basically, it’s great for you and you’ll feel great after! What is Pranayama? Pranayama is breathwork/breathing exercises. Prana is energy, life force. Breath is the vehicle of prana. The first source of energy comes from your breath. Yama means restraint or control. Yama is the expansion of the dimension of life force. By working with your breath, you are expanding the life force and energy that makes you. What are the (scientific) benefits of pranayama? Clears out long held emotions Elevates moodBoosts energy Improves immune function/stimulates the immune system to destroy toxinsImproves mental clarity, focus and cognitive functionDecreases stress and anxietyImproves sleepPurifies your nervous system…and so much moreYes, working with your breath can do all of this if practiced regularly. Congrats, you found a diamond! What should I bring to the class? How do I prepare? Bring your yoga mat and wear something comfortable that you can do asana in. Try not to consume too much food or water right before class in order for prana to move freely through your body without the distraction of digestion. Check in with yourself before class. How do you feel energetically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically? About Your Instructor Ayrris (air-iss) Tate is a certified yoga and pranayama teacher. She loves nature, reading and spending time with her friends and family. Her health and wellness journey began as a nursing and Master of Public Health student in college. Although Ayrris loved her education, she made the decision to challenge the notions of healing made by our traditional healthcare system. She left nursing school a semester before graduation and went on to pursue education in natural, holistic healing modalities. It’s her life mission to restore planetary wellness and build healthy communities through holistic and lifestyle related techniques. She hopes to inspire others to incorporate elements of yoga into their self-care practices for an elevated life experience. “Our breath contains an invisible energy more powerful and affecting than any molecule known to Western Science.”- Breath, James Nestor
