Security Guard for Estate Event Venue

We are looking for a seasonal security guard to protect our premises, assets, guests, and staff on event days; Friday, Saturday, and Sundays. Shifts are approx. 4-10:30 pm. The ideal candidate has some security guard experience, retired law enforcement, veteran, or a reliable person with the desire to learn, we will train on the job. We can hire multiple people for this role. We are a historic event venue that hosts multiple celebrations each May-October. Role Description: - Protect and patrol entrance and property on foot - Monitor noise coming from events - Assist with event set up as needed with ground crew - Help with event parking - Handle challenging guest situations - Stay until the last guest has left the property (approx 10:30pm) - Assure the safety of guests leaving the property after events - Communicate with neighbors and owners from time to time - We require criminal background and reference checks on all employees Requirements: - Must be 18+ years - Drivers license, reliable transportation to and from work - Phone, texting ability - Will wear a uniform - Professional, courteous, reliable, fair, and good communication. - Ability to keep peace and handle difficult situations calmly - Able to work most summer weekends, evenings until approx 11pm ( we can hire more than one person for this role to split the job ) - Ability to lift 30lbs, walk and stand, patrol, use stairs.
