The route has been planned and pre ridden! Starts with us meeting in Essex at Frank's from 7am on. We provide light breakfast items and coffee. Come full of gas, kickstands up at 7:55 so we will be out on the road riding by 8 am SHARP! The ride is led by yours truly, Kamran Pelkey of Franks. We ride rain or shine. Only exception would be lightning, or dangerous storm prediction's day of. The route is totally different from last year with nearly no dirt road shared with last year. The route wanders somewhat aimlessly through Jericho, Underhill, Cambridge, Bakersfield, Montgomery, Lowell, Newport, Derby, Morgan, Norton, and Island Pond. With our highlight being riding the terrain of the Hydro Quebec Powerlines that pass through Norton, Averill, Lewis and Island Pond. This route is a great mix of winding black twisty pavement, as well as maintained dirt roads and of course some not maintained dirt roads or very poorly at best. This ride, with exception to the "hero" section can be done on more street oriented tires. The "hero" section NEEDS adventure tires! Last year many of you wanted a bit more "off road" or "hero" section so those sections are a bit longer, and the mud is a bit deeper this year. If you do not have Dirt Oriented tires we have many in stock. I even have a couple sets of good take offs in common sizes that would be heavily discounted. There is an opt out route for those not wanting to truly "off road" their bike. We will end the ride at Lester's Lake House in Derby target time being around 1pm for post ride shenanigans and a big BBQ Luncheon. This ride is limited to 40 riders and riders MUST BE riding a BMW branded motorcycle. We will have a chase vehicle at a few select points with human hydration and other supplies in case of any issues that may arise.
