The Spray Technician responsibilities will include spraying herbicides, pesticides, fungicides. Including inspecting, locating and diagnosing weeds or invasive plants for commercial properties. Technician must ensure work is performed to the company's and customer's expectations. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: • Safely apply chemical and fertilizing applications when needed and always within compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and safety procedures. • Ensures that all pesticides are applied as required by the label and all federal and state pesticide regulations are followed. • Applies pesticides in the amenity areas on a scheduled or as needed basis to control weeds, ants and plant pests. • Regular inspection of turf, trees and shrubs for signs of disease and proper identification of disease. • Recommendations of treatments for prevention and treatment. • Makes sure the MSDS sheets are up to date and copies are in the appropriate locations. • Assists with the landscape maintenance crew as needed. • Other duties as assigned. ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: • Certified and Licensed as a Chemical Applicator • Driver’s License with good driving record • Must have prior landscape and 1 or more years of spray technician experience. • Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs. • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions. • Knowledge of basic preventive maintenance on assigned equipment. • Effective oral and written communication skills • Strong attention to detail • Ability to prioritize job duties and multi-task in a fast paced environment Santa Rita Landscaping has been in business in the Tucson area for over 34 years.
