There are moments in life where incidents effect one’s heart greatly. This was one of them for me. I had made you smile with a corny joke. I’m sorry my condition made your Christmas Eve painful. I found out you had lost someone previously from the same condition I was suffering from after you and your boyfriend had left. I worked with you at a job for a bit and didn’t realize who you were until you had quit working there. I had tried to contact you via Facebook to apologize in person, but I came across as a creeper. That Christmas Eve has always been stuck in my mind as something I feel horrible about, even if it was beyond my control. I just wanted to say I’m sorry for my circumstances that made that evening super hard for you. You were so respectful and strong. The highlight of my night was getting you to smile with a stupid joke. “Mustachios” It made me feel like a person again, and not someone to feel sorry for. I didn’t believe I was going to see another year. So your smile was special to me during that time. Hope your life is going well. Mine has been abundant, I still feel bad for ruining your Christmas Eve 2010, but your smile was such a blessing to me that words cannot describe.
