Woman Struck By Vehicle While Riding Scooter On Bayshore Identified

TAMPA, FL — Although they're not releasing her name, Tampa police have identified a teen riding on a scooter who was seriously injured in a crash on Bayshore Boulevard Tuesday. At 4:23 p.m., the 15-year-old was attempting to cross the southbound lane of Bayshore Boulevard at Magnolia Avenue on a Razor scooter when she was struck by a vehicle. She was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but had no identification on her. Police said families members have come forward and identified her. Police said she remains in the hospital in serious condition. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police. At this time, detectives do not believe speed or reckless driving was a factor in the crash.
