Press release from the Miami-Dade County Government: June 14, 2022 Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, celebrates the emancipation of enslaved people in the United States. While the holiday is celebrated on Sunday, June 19, County offices and libraries will be closed Monday, June 20 in observance.
